Features

Made to be watched

Live TV, a TV Guide, movies, series and radio, with the controls you'd expect from a Mac app and a few you wouldn't.

Live TV & TV Guide

Click a channel and it plays right in the spotlight. A scrolling guide shows a week ahead, with reminders and catch-up.

A Home made for you

Continue Watching, what's on your favourite channels now, and recommendations worked out on your Mac. Pin any category to Home.

Movies & Series

Rich detail pages, one season at a time, resume points, and Up Next as the credits roll.

Multi-View

Watch up to four channels at once, side by side, each one playing on its own.

Record & download

Record with one click, or by keyword with Series Link. Download films and episodes to watch offline, with progress as they arrive.

Cast to your TV

Send what's playing to a TV or speaker on your network, then bring it back to your Mac from the same spot.

A beautiful picture

HDR, an Ambient Glow round the picture, Match Frame Rate for smooth sport, deinterlacing and sharpening.

Subtitles & captions

Subtitles you can retime, plus experimental live captions made on your Mac for channels that have none.

At home on your Mac

A mini-player, smooth full screen, media keys, a parental lock your Mac checks, and sync between your Macs.

While you watch

Playback options in every player

The ⋯ button in every player, and the Playback menu in the menu bar, hold these. A short note over the picture confirms each change.

Sound timing

Move the sound earlier or later in 0.05-second steps, remembered for each channel, film and episode.

⌥⌘[⌥⌘]

Playback speed

Watch movies and episodes from 0.5× to 2×. Live channels always play at normal speed.

⌥⌘←⌥⌘→

Previous Channel

Go back to the channel you were watching before, in the same player.

⌘L

Sleep timer

Stop after 15 minutes to 2 hours, at the end of the programme, or at the end of the movie or episode. The sound fades out first.
